Q. I have limescale (calcium) deposits on my poolside floor, which product should I use?
A. Bonaclean is the recommended cleaner to gently remove limescale deposits from poolside floors and is ideal around shower areas.
Q. I have a slipping problem on my tiled floors?
A. Clean the tiles first with Bonaclean or Bonamain Plus MRSA once clean and rinsed with water. If you still have a slipping problem clean the tile with a dilution of Bonamain Specialist anti-slip maintenance floor cleaner.
Q. How often should I use Bonamain?
A. It depends upon the tile type and how busy the floor area is. Normal use would vary between weekly or monthly. For daily cleaning we recommend Bonamain Plus MRSA.
Q. I have a safety tiles and am still experiencing slipping problems in the wet?
A. Clean the tiles thoroughly with Bonaclean and Bonamain Plus MRSA rinse with fresh water or jet wash. To deep clean jet wash and the tile should return to its original condition. If after cleaning the slip resistance needs to be improved apply one clean of Bonamain.
Q. The tiles are discoloured due to a heavy build-up of dirt?
A. Depending upon the location of the tiles we recommend a full deep clean to return them back to there original condition. Recommended products for deep cleaning:
- Bonaclean – can also be used to remove ingrained soiling and limescale deposits
- Bonadecon - specialist alkaline cleaner for removal of grease, dirt, rubber and scuff marks
- Bonasystems also offer a deep cleaning services to restore and renovate difficult cleaning problems to ceramic and porcelain floor tiles
Q. I have scuff marks in the changing room areas, what product should I use?
A. Bonadecon is the recommended product.
Q. Can I make my tiles permanently non slip?
A. Yes. Bonagrip is a permanent non slip floor treatment for porous floor surfaces carried out by our trained technicians to meet HSE guidelines for non slip wet surface floors. Please enquire for more information.
Q. Can we use the products in the pool environment?
A. Yes all of our products area odourless and fully miscible in water. Best Practice cleaning procedure recommends you should not let any cleaning products enter the pool systems but to squeegee to external drains with water or wet vacuum the dirty product.
Q. Do you offer a service to train our cleaning staff on how to use the product?
A. We provide a training programmes on 'best practice' for ceramic tile cleaning to cover: the type of cleaning which product to use application process cleaning audits chemical storage COSSH
Q. Can the product be mopped on?
A. This is not a recommended cleaning process for ceramic and natural tiles. Mopping with effective cleaning products tend to lift the dirt from the tile and then spread them with the mop. This means that the cleaning process will leave a microscopic residue on the surface that may make the floor slippery.
Q . Do I need to rinse the floor after cleaning?
A. Yes we always recommend floors are rinsed with fresh water as part of your cleaning procedure.
Q. Is there a daily sanitiser cleaner that is safe and effective against MRSA?
A. Yes Bonamain Plus MRSA is effective for cleaning and sanitising wet hard floor surfaces such as showers, changing rooms, pool and spa surrounds.
Q. We have rust marks (spots) on the ceramic floor tiles what product can we use?
A. Use Bonamain neat as a spot cleaner and gently brush over the surface. The rust spot will gently fade. Repeat as required.
Q. How to I clean a rubber safety surface around my pool?
A. Use Bonaclean Gel for the removal of limescale deposits within the surface. Apply evenly and use a soft brush to agitate the surface rinse with water and wet vacuum the residue. For daily sanitising of rubber pool surfaces use Bonamain Plus MRSA gel.
